Presentation of the green status of a website using the GPI

Green Power Indicator installation

The following instructions refer to the Green Power Indicator version 1.12 or newer. They show how the GPI-Icon can be individually placed within your browser.

1. Use the functionality provided by the browser to install the add-on: Therefore, use the entry "add-ons" in which can be found in the menu (or in the "extras" menu with older version).

2. In both ways you need to restart your browser afterwards, to activate the add-on.

3. Using the stardard settings, a tooltip will present the status of the website, when you visit it for the first time.

4. To use the full functionality provided by GPI, the GPI-Icon should be repositioned in your browser window. Therefore, right-click on the menu and select "adjust"

and move the icon to the appropriate position.
